I want laser eye correction but dont know much about it? I wear contacts and am getting sick of dealing with them. I know laser eye correction costs a couple of grand an eye but is there some kind of payment system you can get? Is there a high interest rate for that? Would it be worth it in relation to the cocts of contacts/glasses? Would there be any reason i wouldnt be able to get it done? In Victoria Australia, where would people recommend? Would my optomitrist recommend a truly decent place or would they only recommend based on commerce connections with that place?
Is laser eye correction any good? I' m a teenager but my eye sight is worsening and the career i want needs pretty good vision so i want to know if its worth having laser eye correction and if its any good. So help me please!

Laser Eye Vision Correction? If laser eye surgery is so widely available, list some reasons why so many people today still wear glasses and contacts if their vision is correctable. I already know some factors; Cost and Young age, but what prevents everyone from getting it? What are some limiting factors? And why can't older people with failing vision have it restored to 20/20 with laser eye correction? Ok, so another factor is risk and personal preference to wear glasses, but besides that, what are other reasons? Come on, no one knows? Has teh interwebz truly failed me?

EYE correction - laser operation before/after baby? I am 23, want a baby around 28. I cannot decide if I should have a laser eye operation after it b/c someone told me the pressure in the eye is very high in the pregnancy... I don't know, do you? I wear contacts since I was 12... I also wondered if eyes get worse a bit after pregnancy?
it's bad to get laser eye correction at age 18? Hi. I just turned 18. (1991.12.28) and I'm planning to get a laser cye correction, probably PRK that optomists recommened to me. I heard that if i get laser eye correction now, it's possible that my prescription gets bad again. How bad can it go? will i need glasses to read in my 30s? my prescription has been stable for 2 years. in Dec, 2007 it was -5.25 and in Jan, 2010, it was -5.50
Can laser eye surgery cause a detached retina a few weeks later? A work colleague of mine had laser eye correction done recently, to correct very short sightedness. It seemed to work well. About 3 weeks later she was rushed to hospital for a detached retina. That was a month ago and her vision in that eye is terrible and getting worse. She is in some discomfort. She is very depressed. Her surgeon is being cagey about what caused it - is it just a coincidence?
how does lasik work (laser eye correction)? i am 23, with nearsightness, i cant see far clear, can i get lasik and is it safe and how about side effects? should i just get conctact lesnses they are hard to put in and take out . i want to wear sunglasses thx
cost of laser eye correction is crazy? I was quoted £1500 per eye! for a op they say takes about 10 miins, that works out at about £9000 per hour they are charging! Even my lawyer would be embarrassed to charge that much! so much for the advertised prices you see for less than £400.
laser eye correction help? im 13 now and short sighted. i wear contact lenses because glasses do my head in but they are sometimes alot of hassle. iv thought about getting laser eye surgery when im older (alot older, dont worry!) but im not sure of the risks and iv heard from a couple of people that it doesn't even correct your eyes fully. has anybody had this surgery done ? what are the risks ? help would be much appreciated. thanks x
anyone had laser eye correction surgery? Im considering having it done, its quite expensive and Im a bit nervous about it since as it's my eye. Just wondered if anyones had it done? how did it go? was it worth it? did it hurt!? thanks :)
What are the cons of laser eye surgery? I'm super sick of wearing contact lenses, and when I saw and advert on the tv for laser eye correction the idea looked very appealing. I honestly can't say how much it would mean to me to have perfect vision. I'm seriously considering it, and obviously I would like to know of any cons against it. Thanks xx
Has anyone had laser eye surgery? How did it go? How much did you pay? I am 21 and my eyes have always been bad, but they have gotten more bothersome as I age. I keep hearing about laser eye correction surgery and I have read up on the procedure, but I wanted to get a few opinions and experiences. If you have had this procedure done, when and where did you get it done (ex. doctor's office, lasik, etc)? How much did the procedure cost? What pros and cons do you have about the procedure? Thanks in advance for all your help.
Had laser eye correction 10 years ago..hows it going? Ok it's been 10 years since I had my eyes corrected by laser surgery. It was the best thing I could do. So far everything is going well. But I heard that after 10-12 years your eyes start going bad....has anyone had the laser surgery for a long time and had any problems since.
What is it with these laser eye correction treatments ? Hi, It just that I see quite clearly adverts for £400 per eye to have things adjusted using laser. All very well, I suppose, but I had increasingly blurred vision due to getting older, so the NHS, bless them, have fitted new "bionic" (ie soft plastic) lenses, and now I will never have to wear specs again. Freebies, and a fine job, and £800 not spent, apart from the multitude of NI contributions that I have made over many years, so fair play. One company boasts that they have done 500,000 operations. So that nets them about £200 million so far. Have you had this done or considered it being done ? I see it (no pun) as a bit of a rip-off Any thoughts ? Bob
Laser eye correction, hit or miss? I am 20 yrs old and im thinking of getting it early so i can have a comfortable life in the future also considering that im basically blind without glasses. So, is there any risks with this procedure and if you have done, how was your experience and how much did u pay for it?
Laser eye surgery: Post op symptoms for long-sightedness correction? Hi. I was wondering what the general symptoms are for people who have had corrective laser eye surgery and whom were long sighted. I hear for short -sighted people their vision is near 20/20 almost immediately, whereas long-sighted people it takes a lot longer after the operation to get full vision clarity back. Is this the case? So when do long-sighted people generally get the deisred level of vision after the operation? ! day, 1 week, 1 month? I hear for long-sighted people who have it, it can be anything up to 12 months.
What are the risks of laser eye surgery? I had every intention of having laser correction surgery to allow me to join the military but as ive got older and thought about it, I've got pretty worried about the whole thing. As far as im aware it works by placing a permanent lens over your eye, and i never wear contacts for the fear of them getting knocked when im doing jujitsu or whatever and causing serious damage so i dont see myself being overly happy with a permanent one. Basically how dangerous is the surgery?
Eye laser surgery, any long term results yet? Has there been any tests on Eye laser correction, and is there anyone on here whose had it done some years ago? Like many things where we find out at a later date all is not as good as it seems, i just wonder if there has been any evidence to say that it causes long term damage, an increase in eye diseases or other problems, etc. Could we find out that after 15 years it causes eye cancer for example? I'm undecided to go for this, my sight is reasonable and i could live with it unless it gets much worse.
laser eye surgery.? im thinking of having laser eye correction. Id be greatfuf for any advise from people who have had it done. thanks.
Whose had laser eye surgery done??? I just had laser eye correction done yesterday, but I can't see just yet, it's still fuzzy, I was wondering if anyone with experience has gotten it done and how long it took you to start seeing perfectly.
Can you have laser eye surgery more than once? I had laser vision correction surgery years ago, and it is starting to wear off. Can I get it again? Are there better alternatives nowadays? (I'm quite active, so glasses is not my top choice).
Eye Laser Surgery? I've booked a consultation at a Eye Laser Correction place, I've been reading the info and it asks for you to state any history of anxiety & depression and if you currently take such drugs, how can this affect my suitability for the surgery?
My eyes aren't "normal". Is there any way I could be a candidate for laser correction? okay. long story short...I was born with lazy eye and had surgery to correct it when i was 5. along with the lazy eye i didn't have periphial vision, so they attempted to correct that as well. as time went on i've noticed that i still have the lazy eye, just not as bad. if you look at me in the eyes you can catch it from time to time, especially when i'm tired. i've worn glasses since i was about 9, and every eye doctor i've gone to has told me that i cannot wear contacts because my eyes don't have a focal point. so if i were to wear contacts i'd see 2 of everything, because my eyes don't work together. is that something that laser eye surgery could correct, or am i stuck with glasses for the rest of my life?
Does anyone know of any other alternatives to sight correction, other than eye laser surgery? Bearing in mind that I am 14, and my eye sight is really bad and getting worse. EVERY time I go to the opticians, they tell me that my eyes are getting worse. When I was younger my eyes were never that bad and whenever the opticians gave me glasses (for reading), I would chuck them away. When my dad became aware of this he said that I have to wear my glasses. Since then my eyes have been getting worse and worse. I am really tired of glasses and i don't want contact lenses and i'm tired of getting a headache after getting new, thicker glasses. which would u recomend glasses or contacts??
Has anyone here had Lasik eye surgery? I'm scheduled for the custom Lasik surgery on Tuesday and was wondering if anyone could share their experiences with laser eye correction, good or bad, just share with me if you would. Thanks!
eye correction and the marines? I don't have perfect vision, and i would rather get laser surgery than get glasses, but I read somewhere that if you have corrected your eyes with laser surgery you cannot be accepted in the marines/navy. Is this true? Question: does the fact that you have had laser eye surgery affect your elegibility to join the marines?
How much does Lasik/ Laser vision correction cost? I recently won a raffle for a free laser surgery, they are sending me a certificate for $1000. I'm pretty sure that it is going to cost more than that for both eyes. I know is is more expensive the worse your vision. I have -5.15 apx. in both eyes, no Astigmitism. Can anyone tell me how much it cost you? Please no, ''... I'd guess its about $xxx...'' and I'm not going to fly to India to have it done. Thanks in advance to all of you who help. I know to research the place and check it out before I commit to anything. I've looked online for costs, but everything I find says I'd need a consultation. I have one scheduled with this place on July 12th, and I'd like to have an idea before going in. I just want a ball- park number from people who have had it done.
Laser Eye Surgery - Should I Still Hope For Postoperatory Improvements? I underwent laser eye surgery on both eyes 6 weeks ago, for correction of astigmatism on the right eye and a slight miopy (-0,50) on the left. I would be very happy with the results but the following thing scares me: in bright daylight, my vision is almost perfect, which is a high improvement compared to the previous "quality" of my vision. However, if I enter a room with a lower light (neons or a room that's only half lit by natural daylight) my vision gets much worse, which is pretty depressing. I mean, outdoor I can see the details of a far object/person without any trouble, while indoor it gets problematic even with short distances. Is there a possibility that these problems will go away after waiting a little longer (doctors still prescribed eyedrops until september) or should I already start trying to get used to this new situation? Things would be really great without the low light problems, which are more than noticeable. Thank you very much for reading this!
Eye correction techniques? A few years back I saw a news segment where there was a technique to correct bad eyesight not involving lasers. It somehow involved changing the shape of the eye (I think) and was only available in canada since the USDA wouldn't approve the procedure. I may be mistaken about some of the details. Could you please list all available medical procedures for eye correction other than lasik? Thank you.
New surgery for eye correction? I'm extremely nearsighted, and my doctors have told me that laser most likely won't work on me. However, he told me that right now there's a new experiment where they put an actual lense into your eye to correct your vision. He said that most likely this was the only thing that was going to help me. Anybody hear about this yet?
power correction - laser? is it good to correct eye power (laser type) for a person age- 22 and who has family history of catract. Please temme is it worth doing on long term it won't cause problem ?

Can you suggest a good Veterinary Surgeon who does Cherry Eye correction on dogs in Atlanta, GA? I'm searching for a vet hospital in or near Atlanta, GA, that can perform correction of cherry eye on my dog. I'd like to find one that uses a laser as I've heard this is less painful and has a higher success rate for non-reoccurence. Any details such as cost, suggestions, etc. are greatly appreciated!
