  1. OK, FIRST...let me tell you, they are finding MORE AND MORE people and the percentage of people is higher today with IRREVERSABLE problems from the surgery. I went 3 months ago for extensive, 3 hours of testing for the lasik surgery, it is approximately 2 to 3 thousand dollars PER EYE by a REPUTABLE doctor and trust me, there are bad ones out there. I did not go through with it. There are many people who now would give ANYTHING to go and have their glasses back. Your eyes are THE ONLY pair you have, be thankful you have your good sight with them. A woman i know, personally had it done, she now feels as though there is sand in her eyes, all the time, her eyes are dry and says its the biggest mistake she ever made. (Others have many worse problems, such as double vision and can no longer even drive!) Your eyes are just not like any other part of your body, if something goes wrong, you're screwed. Go buy yourself some really fashionable glasses , glasses are so in style these days. And again, watch and listen, its been all over the news and you're going to start seeing many lawsuits against these lasik eye companies over the next few years. Dont do it!
  2. Laser eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and Lasik surgery in India by a company called Indian Health Guru Consultants. The Price for dental and Lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America. Indian Health Guru Consultants is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, Lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star. http://www.indianhealthguru.com Hope this helps.
