Lasik Eye Correction

Why are so many people still against laser eye surgery?

are there still high risks? is the technology not there yet?

  1. Because there are still some risks (which your optician will be happy to discuss with you) and the technology is good, but of course keeps improving with every year. The cost is prohibitive to some people as well... me, for example... I'll put up with wearing glasses for a while before paying $1000 per eye to get it done. Lots of people's medical insurance will not cover it either.
  2. Because they still can't guarantee it. Are you willing to risk your eye sight to possible be able to see when you are done and in the end you may still need glasses. So what did you accomplish.
