Lasik Eye Correction

eye surgery and sky diving?

I am 21 years old and at 18 years old i had my retina detach. they fixed by placing a sclera buckle around my eye, as well as gas to repair the retina. I have also had cataract surgery, and a vitrectomy of the eye to get rid of constant floaters. I will also have a surgery to fix the tear duct in the eye... Ok so does anyone who has had some of the these surgerys know if i can go skydiving? or what i cant do now that i have had these surgeries? I have tried calling my doctor, but they wont return my calls. I wil keep trying if no one answers this!!!

  1. I suggest hunting down an eye doctor to get an official response before taking the risk to sky dive. Considering the change in pressure from this sport, I would advise you not to do it - not sky diving won't stop you from living life as it is. Good luck.
  2. wen u sky dive u wear gogles anyway and it doesnt affect ur eyes
  3. I have jumped many times... A good pair of goggles should do the trick for you... I am no DR so I would still try to get in contact with him/her.
