what kind of doctor do you go see for eye problems?
I have some kind of bump under my eye lid. Do I go to the places that do exams and prescriptions or is there another type of eye doctor?

- ophthalmologist
- If it requires a minor office surgery you will want to see an ophthalmologist. I do not believe optometrists can do this and may refer you to one anyway.
- You would normally still go and see an optometrist as the bump could've affected your vision. However, first you should consult a GP. You could even be referred to an opthamologist. That could possibly help. Hope I helped you.
- You have what is called a selication tumor any Optometrest could refer you to a Specialest to nip it off. It isnt to bad. Good luck
