Lasik Eye Correction

rosacea. Does anyone have eye problems associated with it? What do you do?

I have one eye that is burning and itching and gritty and feels like there is something in it. I wake up in the morning and it is almost stuck together. I just read that it is related to my rosacea. What releives it for you?

  1. Two things I have tried work really well to help clear up rosacea- seabuckthorn oil and neem oil. Seabuckthorn oil is more expensive but it doesn't sting your eyes. Don't put it right in your eyes, just all around and in the eyelashes. The parasites that cause rosacea also live in your eyelashes, and you can end up getting pink eye if it gets too out of control. You can find seabuckthorn oil on the internet, I ordered mine from Blue Sage Naturals.
  2. I don't know too much about the eyes but I was diagnosed last year with rosacea and I was prescribed tetracycline and noritate cream. It didn’t really do much for me. This past May I ran into someone I knew with rosacea and she looked symptom free. I asked her about it and she said by chance she had a really bad sinus infection and her doctor gave her azithromycin or (Z-Pack) for it. (its the antibiotic you only take for 5 days instead of 14 days) She said it totally cleared up her rocacea so she got an extended prescription for it and she has been symptom free for 4 years. She said initially every few months she would notice a little flair up and take another Z-pack for about 8 months and then it was totally gone. Of course I wanted to try it and I did this past June. I also have had no rosacea symptoms. It took about 10 days and my rosacea was gone. ( My rosacea was not too severe since I had only had it for about a year but I had small bumps and rough feeling skin along with very red streaks especially on my right cheek. I have noticed this month that my cheeks are starting to look a little pink again so I ‘m taking another dose of azithromycin as of yesterday. I hope this information can be passed along and possibly help others. Keep in mind that z-pack is not a known remedy for rosacea so your doctor might be sceptical about it, but it really worked for me.
