Eye Problems?

I failed this eye exam and the school left a message at my house saying that they need the consent for the Free Eye Clinic at my school back by monday. The problem is that my parents dont know i failed the exam and i plan not to tell them until a few months from now... The problem is that the secretary lady at the office at my school said that she would call back if she doesnt get it back by monday. What should i do? I dont want to tell my parents because they would blame my electronics when its really genetics fault since they are both near sighted. I just dont want glasses. I already have braces and glasses would just make me feel insecure. HELP!! WHAT SHOULD I DO? Also, for those with contacts, Can you get them right away or do you have to wait a couple of years?

1. hmm funny thing is, i had the same problem 2 years ago in 8th grade...they did this exam thing and i failed it...and failed it badly...and then they gave me this sheet of paper that basically ordered my parents to get me glasses haha...which they did...but they blamed all my electronic stuff (laptop, cell, camera, iPod, etc.) even tho i kept telling them OVER AND OVER that it either had something to do with genetics, or i had damaged my eyes a long time ago and in a different way..both can b true bcuz my mom has eye problems 2 and SHE doesnt stop using her stuff in the end i got glasses, but they were pretty cool ones...im going to get contacts soon tho =] the only advice i have is just tell them..they'll find out eventually and they'll prbly b angry that u didnt tell them urself...but u can always ask 4 contacts =]
2. Your parents can blame whoever/whatever they want, but it won't change the fact that you have a vision problem :) Its important to make the right corrections now so that your school work doesn't fall behind because you can't see properly. There is no shame in poor eyesight...millions suffer. And there are a ton of options for glasses (including contacts if you are a clean, responsible kidlet) and can be very fashionable. If you need glasses, take a good long time shopping around for something you really want. Your parents will be much happier knowing that your school is interested in your health and success than about failing an exam. And they've been through this too, so they understand better than you think.
3. *I couldn't determine you age but maybe you can get an exam at the eye doctor's office outside and earn some extra money for contact lenses. You will have to allocate extra time for inserting them in the morning, though. The doctor has to check for eye pressure and for disease etc. Most importantly be strong and don't be bullied. Bifocals, if needed, are often a temporary thing. If glasses are needed, there are clear and tiny frames out there. In CA if the parents don't correct a health issue, they can be arrested. When the braces come off, you will be a sharp looking person.
