eye problems?

for months i have been having flashes go off from the corner of my eyes and for the past 2 weeks or so i have been seeing flashes from the corner of my eyes even more than befor ... now its gotten to be more flashes and im seeing them from the top of my eyes ... the flashes are like as if someone is taking pictures and the flash goes off thats the only way i can explain it ... what do you think this is?? i have had problems with severe migraines (or what i think is migraines) and a sinus infection do you think this is whats causing it? should i see a doc about this? thanks

1. Please go see an ophthalmologist now. You could have just a posterior vitreous detachment, which is nothing really to worry about. However, it could be worse. It could be a retinal tear or a retinal detachment. Is it coming from just one eye? Cover the other and see if your vision has decreased at all in that eye or if it looks like a curtain is coming over that eye. Anyway, go see an ophthalmologist TODAY. If it is a tear it can lead to a detachment if left untreated. If it is a detachment, the longer it is left untreated the less likely your vision will come out great in the end. I hope this helps...
