Lasik Eye Correction

Lasik Question, anyone help??

I am considering lasik right now. could i do one eye first to see if any problems? Do you guys think that i still could have a good eyesight if another eye of my had sight problem after lasik? when i was child, my left eye was nearsight and right eye was good sight, so i could see cleary without glasses. therefore, I guess if i did one eye, even if it created problem after lasik, i still have another good eye to back up that i will not had bad sight after unsuccessful surgery. Guys, could you give any advise? i appreciate all your help.

1. No, I'm still young, although I've heard that you would only use laser eye corrections as a last resort and when you actually have money enough to afford it. It's a waste only if your RX hasn't stabelized, which is when you are about 18. There was something else about your vision after the procedure, as in the clear vision may seem a little awkard at first and that feeling will go away after a while. I'd do only the bad vision eye as attempting to correct a perfect visioned eye is bad. The bad eye will either get worse or get better. If worse, your right eye with your left should provide you sufficent vision. Or you could wear glasses first before Lasik. I recommend this. But for that bad eye only, and if glasses or one-eye contacts don't work, do Lasik. Good luck.
2. LASIK IS SAFE. Do not worry about any complications that can screw up your eye. The chances of anything bad happening is so slim, its nothing to stop you from going with the procedure. You can do one eye at a time, but that is more time consuming, expensive, uncomfortable, and inconvenient. 5. I used to wear 1 contact at a time if my eyes were bothering me. I got sick of wearing contacts & glasses so I got lasik done... get both eyes at once. There are lots of procedures they can do if need be. Don't wear contacts for at least 2 weeks, 3 weeks if you have astigmatism & 4 weeks if you wear hard contacts They sat us down in a classroom type setting and told us the details of what goes on. After that they took us back individualy for the initial screening (free screening). After the initial screening doc told me good news and bad news, which you want first? Bad news: you have poor eyesight, "Duh, tell me something I don't know. What's the news?" Good news: you have thick corneas so we have a lot of room to work with. --> he said 10% chance anything will go wrong (usually it is 1%). There are quite a few procedures they have besides lasik. The hardest part about doing it is talking yourself into getting it done. I sat down in the chair and wondered how I convinced myself to do it. He asked you doing both eyes and I said yes... They put drops in my eyes then stuck me in some suction cup thing and propped open my eyes then took away the suction cup. Felt like a finger going across my eye. Next part you just have to concentrate on this dot while lights are flashing in front of you. Finger goes back across your eye and you can feel him pat down the flap. Next I get the second eye, 5 minutes later I was wondering how I was living without it!! They gave me these googles to wear at night so I didn't rub my eyes and I also needed these lubricating drops. I had trouble opening my eyes in the morning and had to go to the bathroom every hour or so for the drops. You can't put the drops directly on your eye, have to put them in your bottom eyelid and that is much easier than titling you head back for it to begin with. The dry eye eventually goes away, took way too long in my opinion. GET IT DONE!!
