Lasik Eye Correction

Roughly how much would laser eye surgery cost from a reliable hospital? Any age restrictions and risks?

Is there a specific age the patient has to be, and how bad does their eyesight have to be to not be eligibile for surgery? Mine is -4.75 and -4.25

  1. i do not know to which country you belong it costs around $100 in India. the doctors will decide depending on the cornea and whether you have cataract or other diseases
  2. LASIK prices have been rising over the past several years. For a rough idea of pricing, a leading refractive industry research firm reported that the average LASIK price in 2005 was $1,965. For comparison, in 2002 it was $1,550 – $1,600; by October 2003 it had risen to $1,710; and at the end of 2004, it was a little over $1,800. This figure includes a wide range of business models: from individual surgeons who lease their equipment to those who own it outright; and from regional multi-center practices to nationwide provider networks http://www.allaboutvision.com/visionsurgery/cost.htm
  3. My country Malaysia charge around <RM3000/eye for custom lasik and cheaper for normal laser. Before acceptance you will need to do a eligibility test and once accepted you can proceed to do the treatment.Of course all treatment carried a risk factor maybe 1%. People from developed countries come to Malaysia for treatment +holiday cause the treatment is very affordable as compared with other countries and the equipment and skill are equivalent with developed countries
  4. Get your lasik surgry in INdia.Lasik is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients as all surgery is not covered by insurance in USA or by the stinking NHS in UK They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star . My cousin got her cosmetic surgery for lasik and she is more than very happy with the results.SHe is all praise for this forerunners healthcare companyfor the services they provided her.She paid just 30% of the cost what she was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for her.Excellent stay, food, best surgeons-she just couldnt stop talking.hope this helps. http://www.forerunnershealthcare.com
