  1. I had it done a few years ago, and I'm very happy with the results! I didn't go for the "economy" laser eye surgery though.. I went to one of the most expensive places.. I figured your eyes are not something you want to mess around with, so I'm not going to worry about saving a few bucks.. the only problem was that my eyes weren't completely numb when he started the procedure, so it kind of hurt at first.. I was kicking my legs from the pain so he was like "are you having some discomfort?" so I'm thinking "discomfort my ass! this hurts like hell!" but I didn't say that, I just said "I don't think my eyes are numb yet".. so then he numbed them up and the procedure went fine after that.. :) now I see very clearly.. I think I still have better than 20/20 vision and it was several years ago that I had it done.. by the way, one of the risks they warned me about is that your eyes could actually get worse instead of better.. but they said that almost never happens.. all I know is that I see a ton better than I did before having it done and I'm very happy with it! just don't go to a cheap place and you should be fine..
  2. I had my done around 2000. Since my corneas were thin they couldn't cut a flap but they just lasered over the cornea. This process took longer to heal. Appox. 3 days. I did have 20/400 but was corrected to 20/15
  3. I had LASIK several years ago and it was great. I had them give m 2 Valiums then went in for the treatment. It was a little uncomfortable but only took 10 minutes. i was nervous but the Doctor assured me it would be no biggie. I asked how he would know if the first eye treated.was done right before treating the other eye. He said that he is looking into my eye with a microscope and can tell exactly how it went. The light he shines in the eye is focused on the retina. He can look at that point of light and determine how well the procedure went. When I was done I could tell immediately that my vision was much better. I would recommend it for almost everyone.
  4. Well I haven't had it but I know a couple that had it they said it went great and had no problems they said you are awake get a local anesthetic and sorta see what is going on. Hope this helps you! ppssttt I have real bad vision too and wonder about it wish someone who had it done would give me more details too.
