  2. It is, if your eyes are really bad.
  3. if you have horrible eyesight, it is worth the surgery. but if you can stand wearing contacts or glasses it's not worth the risk. afterall, it is eye surgery. i've known people who had it, they came through fine. =D
  4. YES YES YES! It is worth it you will ues eyedroppers for like a week or two but then you are all good and you can see a whole lot better.....
  5. My mom had 2 cataracs and had laser surgery. She now sees a lot better and can read without her glasses.
  6. It depends whether you're a risk-taker, as the FDA site itself puts it. There *is* a casualty rate. It's low. About 96% of people say they would recommend the procedure to a friend, even if they've experienced some side effects . (glare at night, and dry eyes, are the two most commonly reported) Somewhere between 1 and 4% have more major problems. It's not difficult to find the horror story sites.
  7. There is virtually no risk with LASIK. When asking my doctor what the risk was of blindness he wouldn't even talk about it because it pretty much is way below 1%. I had it done exactly one week ago and I am seeing 20/15. I would 100% do it over again. There was no pain and was much easier than I ever would have believed. I have not had one problem since having it done and my doctor is very pleased with the results. Find the right doctor and you will not regret it.
