Lasik Eye Correction

Is there a eye doctor/surgeon here?I have some questions about the "permanent contacts" surgery.?

Ok I was thinking about getting eye surgery to correct my vision when I turn 21.I recently saw on the internet about a surgery that the surgeons put on you permanent contacts and that it is more efficiant than Laser eye sugery.I already know about the perocedures and the risks but I still have some questions. Here they are: 1.How long is the recovery time after you get out of the hospital on the same day? 2.Can I have the surgery under anesthesia?I am extremely squeamish and I move alot and I think that its better that Im fully asleep. 3.The most important question of all(for me anyways):What color are the contacts? Are they clear or do they come in colors too?It would be great if they came in color.Ive always wanted to change my eyecolor permanently;well lots of people want to too. Well thats all.I really need those answers, especially for #2 & #3.Its very important to me.Thank you for your time. You can also write to me at chichithewhitetiger@gmail.com

  1. First off the FDA has not approved ICL (implantable contact lenses) and they only have a range of prescription that certain patients are cantidates for. However with LASIK you only have to be 18 and the consultations are free and cost half of the price. ICLs are only meant for patients who cant not be correctable with lasik. I would never advise a patient of your age to even think about doing this procedure. I have been in the lasik industory for several years and very well trained on all refractive errors. Please...please only consider ICL as a last resort so so many risks are involved and again the FDA has not approved it. And no you can not get color lens. The visit is same day but much much riskier. Lasik will give you the same results and much faster and half the price. Good luck
