- I know some people who've had it - they have no complaints
- I read some articles that laser is not safe because of its high radiation...
- I had LASIK surgery done this October will be 2 years ago and I LOVE it!!! I have not had any problems and now I have 20/20 vision. I had been wearing glassed since I was 7 years old and had the surgery when I was 26. I didn't have any of the problems that they say you may have such as blurry vision, halo's around lights at night..nothing. It was just one day I couldn't see without glasses and the next day I could see perfect. I would do it again and I would recommend it to anyone!! Good luck.
- my mother had one for sight correction and she has no complaints and she is better now.for this body who said laser is not safe ................it is not safe on skin fir hair removal not surgeries
- It is very safe and very much worth it. I had LASIK in March. It was uncomfortable. Don't let anyone tell you it was painless, but the pain lasts all of 10 minutes and then its over and your sight is perfect. I went from having extremely bad vision to having 20/20. As with any surgery there is a risk, but it is very slim. Eye doctors are getting LASIK. The man who performed my LASIK had it done himself. I feel that if he trusts the procedure then I do too. Tiger Woods has also had LASIK. Once again if his people and all the people who have him insured trust for him to get it done then its fine for me
- If Tiger Woods says it's good, then it must be haha. But really, I've heard nothing but good news about that. The risks are really low too, like really really low.
- Yes it is safe. Low risk of losing eye site. Also you can do 1 eye on one day and go back and do the other eye a different day if you are really scared. Bladeless lasiks is the best and safeist method.
- As with any surgery, there are risks. LASIK is probably one of the safest procedures you could have done. The side-effects to having LASIK performed are safer than the side-effects to most medications on the market today. I worked in a Ophthalmologist's office where they did LASIK surgery right next door at the Surgical Center and as an optician who works with fitting glasses and contacts, I have lost many patients to the LASIK procedure. They won't be coming to see me anymore to have lost glasses re-ordered or broken glasses fixed or contact lenses ordered. But, these people were THRILLED with the new lease on life that LASIK gave them. The office that I worked at held monthly free LASIK seminars. You had to call to reserve a seat but these seminars were loaded with information about the procedure, the cost, the risks and then always involved a Power Point presentation and a Q & A session. I'm sure there are offices around the country that do the same thing, especially with the growing popularity of the procedure. Heck, some insurance companies are starting to wise up and have begun to cover it. When you factor in the cost of glasses or contacts for a person throughout their entire life, its actually cheaper to do the LASIK, amazingly enough. Have your Optometrist recommend a reputable Ophthalmologist in your area or just open up the Yellow pages and start making some phone calls. Good luck!
