Lasik results not optimal, need advice?
I had Lasik surgery 5 months ago. My right eye was corrected for distance and my left eye for reading. Vision has stabilized with the following attributes: Vision good most of the time but by the end of the day, my eyes are a litle tired and distance vision is a bit blurry--in addition to this, there sometimes appears to be competiton between my eyes for focus (again only at the end of the day). Is this a common problem? What should I do--should I have the left eye re-corrected for distance? Lasik dr suggested glasses but that would obvioulsy be a last resort that I would hope to avoid

- Sometimes Lasik sugery does not work the first time around. It depends on the person but since you show signs of it failing the only options you really have are to get glasses or get surgery again. My mother had the same problem and she ended up getting glasses.
- Are you still going thru Post op with your ophthalmologist or optometrist? You need to be sure and mention these problems to them. If the problems, don't clear up, you may need an enhancement. This is a common procedure on patients who previously has lasik but need their vision tweeked. Talk to your doctor about your problem and about the enhancement procedure.
- Haai You have been offered a mono vision correction in Lasik. Mono Vision is a principle in which your retina has to learn to adjust to diffrent focus. So it might take some time, but five months is a very long time. I would suggest you to wait for some more time, so that your eye adjusts to focus. Also there is no need for a recorrection. Wait for some time, so you would surely get better I am a Lasik surgeon from Chennai India Dr.Sen Pranav Eye Care
