  1. Only draw back is if they make a mistake its left permanent I read in the newspaper a short time ago about a lady that had it done and it turned out bad for her. You might be able to look it up on the web as with everything you have to weigh up the failure rates which should be given .
  2. for your eyes only.... just in http://www.greateyes.blogspot.com
  3. Ive had it done and had the wave front treatment, about year ago. I used Optical express and they were great, I only needed 1 eye doing but it was the best £1400 Ive ever spent and wish Id done it years ago. My partner had hers done by a company in Guilford and she is of the same opinion. The draw backs are as we both agree are the slight discomfort for the first 8 hours, being restricted at what sports etc you can do for the first 4months and worst of all having to ware goggles or eye patches to bed and feeling and looking like fly can be a bit of a passion killer. The company you are thinking of using should be able to references from previous patients, and with the latest tech its very rare that you should have any major problem, but as with all surgery it isn't completely risk free. Its all worth it tho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. I have worn glasses for nearly 50 years and have used a variety of contact lenses over the years but because of my very complex prescription have never found them satisfactory, always going back to glasses. When laser eye correction came along at affordable prices, I immediately wondered if this was the answer to my prayers to see unemcumbered for once. A lengthy discussion with my bespectacled opthalmic surgeon told me several things. First that it was not suitable for my eyes and secondly, why if it was so good, did you still see people working at opticians wearing glasses and not having had the op! His opinion was that there were still too many problems associated with the surgery and that he would wait a good while before subjecting his eyes to it. But then he wasn`t selling it, was he!
