  1. My boss had it and thought it was fantastic, for a while. He has to wear glasses again for close up stuff now, though. It won't stop your sight naturally deteriorating through the aging process. The immediate results seem to be impressive, though.
  2. It really is pain free, and worth every penny, I think it could last about 10 years, but i was told when i get to about 40-45 that is when most people need glasses for reading any way. I no longer need glasses (Only sunglasses) as the sun does seem alot brighter than what it did before i had laser. But then i don't mind as i can now wear designer sunglasses. I would go for it, as i wished i had had them done years ago. You will be nervous when you go to have it done, but you seriously have nothing to worry about. I would have it done again if my eyes went again. You don't feel a single thing and it is over really quick. Have a consultation done then you will know the price as it depends on your prescription on how much it all costs. I had mine done at Optical Express!
  3. it depends on what problem do you have with your eyes.if it's only a correction of vision it will be a simple treatment it will not hurt and the duration of the operation is about 10 minutes.i have a friend who made the laser treatment and his vision now is 100% corect.but if you have much complicated problem with your eyes such as (white water) then it could be much complicated operation.in general any operation in such sensibil organ can have some riscs. so you have to think deeply then you can decide. here's a site where you can read about the laser corection http://www.eye-laser-surgery.biz/eye-laser-surgery/eye-laser-treatment.php
  4. my friend had it, he had -8 dps on both eyes now she sees prolly (before treatment she had to use really thick glasses). worth every penny, and didnt hurt her at all. bear that in mind that dont get both eyes treated at the same time. go for it:)
  5. It isn't permanent and can't be re done when once your eyes start to deteriorate.
  6. I had it, and found it very very uncomfortable at the time for about 24 to 48 hours after, but yes it does work
  7. I had it done approx. 5 months ago. No, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I would do it again. It isn't painful, just a bit uncomfortable for a day or so. It is quick. It usually lasts for 10 years unless you have really bad eyes, then it could be different. You can get touch ups done, also. There is one thing that no one tells you about and it is the smell-- there is a very odd smell when you are getting it done, but that is just part of the procedure. I say go for an exam (they are generally free) and see what they say and go from there. Good Luck!!
  8. get it! i had it and it is fantastic! it is definitely worth the cost and it does not hurt at all, and i have 20/20 vision. it is permanent until your eyes start naturally changing when you are getting old, like 40-45, and then you will need reading glasses like anyone else. you will never ever have to get it redone if they do it correctly.
  9. I've never had it myself, but I work for Moorfields Eye Hospital. My advice is to be careful where you get it done, as often we see patients that have gone to cheap clinics and have to come to MEH to get it sorted out when the surgery has not gone as well as expected. I'm not advertising my hospital but I strongly advise that you do your research thoroughly! Sometimes paying that little bit more can be worth it-after all your eyes are important! And remember, Laser eye surgery will not stop the natural deterioration of your eyesight.
