Lasik Eye Correction

Anybody who has had laser eye correction..?

I have a lazy eye/squint. If I had surgery done, would it correct the lazy eye aswell? (I'm long sighted)

1. not sure on your eye but my nieghbour had laser treatment on his eye that he could only partialy see through and been like that for forty years he his 86 and can now see perfect . go for it
2. i have the same problem ,and i know people that had use the laser and now they can see more, but i am afraid the same i know that now i can see with glasses and after i don't know, so i thick that i stay this way for know
3. Laser eye surgery can only correct short and long sightedness and astigmatism. It involves opening up the cornea (the front bit of the eye, i.e. the visible part) and lasering it from the inside to turn it into basically a permanent contact lens (although one that you cannot feel). It does not cure the underlying problem (a mis-shaped eye where the focal point does not fall on the retina), but as long as your eyes are not still changing in terms of your prescription it is a permanent and effective solution. The procedure is simple and quick. It takes less than 1 minute per eye. I had it done in November 2006, and was fully recovered within 1 month. I went from a prescription of -7 (extremely short sighted) to having well over 20/20 vision. I believe a lazy eye is due to a muscular problem. This will not be addressed by laser surgery.
